Welcome to the official website for the Diamond Lake to Mt. Bachelor Relay scheduled for August 1-2, 2008.
Our course will be 115 miles for the Walk and 176 miles for the Run. The Relay will run the back country and we “really, really mean” the back country of the Oregon Cascade Mountains past at least eleven mountain lakes, scenic mountain vista’s, over babbling brooks, and through forests with the finish line at beautiful Mt. Bachelor (West Village Lodge), Oregon’s second highest peak and famous ski resort.
The Walk and Run events will consist of (36) legs each. Course maps are now available on our website. Leg maps along with elevation grids will be available later this fall. The number of Walkers per team shall be (12) maximum and the number for the Running Teams shall be a maximum of (12). Each participant will be required to walk/run (3) legs. Initial response to this new event has been very positive. This new and exciting running Relay in Central Oregon could be a great alternative if your current team does not get into the Oregon Hood to Coast Relay or you are looking for another venue to substitute for the Washington State Mt. Rainier to the Pacific Relay. Event registration opens on October 1st, 2007. Please visit www.active.com for details.

Looks like a good alternative to H2C. I am interested in the maps - will it be trail running or USFS gravel roads? Logistics might be a challenge here.
