of a guy stealing a bike. Just thought I'd spread the link to see if anyone recognizes the jerk. Not sure if such a question would be appropriate for Ask Metafilter but maybe...?

Ya, why not an AskMe question? You will be pushing the boundaries a bit, but might as well give it a shot. It is a real question looking for a real answer, it isn't your bike and you aren't the thief.. It will stir up the hornet's nest, but not in a disingenuous way.
What we really need is a website collecting videos like this for public identification of bike thieves.. :)
Yes, post the question. If nothing else, it will show people that a thief doesn't even need a bolt-cutter to steal a locked bike. If you're dumb enough to lock just your wheel, that's all that you could be left with. Nice trick that he scavenged a wheel from another bike so he could easily ride away.
Bah, I already took a beating on my post for the blue today (though Cortex just cleaned it up). Not gonna push my luck. Any of you want to post it, feel free. I think it'd be awesome if it resulted in a positive ID.
