8 miles on Rodota trail. 9:30am start and wonderful foggy weather, perfect. Took until mile 3 to get in breathing groove and then felt awesome. No side aches, minor hip ache but overall felt fabulous...until mile 7 and then I started to slow down. At 7.5 was dragging, still running, no walking but my quad muscles up high near hip joints were feeling so stretched like rubber bands, felt heavy and I was really laboring to finish but now feel great although tired. Stretched a lot and walked around town before going home which helped cool down.

Have a good plan for marathon and very excited! Need to stay on schedule and also drink tons more water and eat well.

2 loops at 6:30pm, great weather, fog rolling in. Took a while to settle in but felt really good. Still slow a bit and nagging hip ache. Thought a lot about Nie Nie and just grateful to be out and enjoying the fresh air and being alive. Stretched well when I came home, gotta keep that up

Did two loops, ran one and walked the other. Felt so creaky and slow and not great. Walked the second loop to keep the legs moving without quitting. Later realized that I did not have much lunch or sleep, was running on empty and it felt like it.

1.5 loop with walking on the return home, it was about 101 degrees out and I was dying of heat, drinking so much water, shoulders were burning and felt like I was jogging in place, too hot! I really need to make time for long runs, not be too rushed and get my miles and ease of running back up. Also need to see Chiro about hip soreness.

1.5 loop fast before girls night, felt ok but it was hot and after a long day of kiddo body is tired! Felt like I needed motivation to get back to 6-8 mile range!

Two loops, McFarlane hill. First loop was too slow and felt a bit sluggy, second loop was better and felt strongest on the homestretch which bodes well for long distance runs. Need to swim and do weights for upper body, arms and back were tired and slowing me up. Slight pain in right outside hip? All in all felt really good to get out to two loops again. Need a 8-9 mile run this weekend, gulp-yikes!

Walk with a few spurts of running. Loooong day with kiddo and back and shoulders were too tight to run, also felt really sluggish and gross when I was running. Walking was nice and refreshing but missed running the route.

Hard 4 mile run. Shin splints right leg, aide ache, heavy feet...body seemed to revolt against 3 glasses of wine & high heels from Saturday and too of an late afternoon run after lunch and nap. Not an enjoyable run but felt good to stick with it and push myself to finish 2 loops. Need to really improve to make longer distances do-able and enjoyable on a regular basis. Here's to hoping for an easy and enjoyable run in a few days!
