This was supposed to be a long run but between the mission getting canceled causing me to go in to work sooner, my legs being tired from yesterdays tempo, and starting out with too fast of a pace I only managed 3 miles.

Looks like I'm just going to try to salvage this and next week as hopefully sustaining as I'm not going to be improving from them.

I blame Jeffy for nailing his workout motivating me to start fast and burn myself out. Thanks Jeff...

some miles is better than none, and you aren't really in danger of overtraining by working to hard, since the consistency isn't really going to be there for the next week or two you'll have plenty of recovery time, probably more then you want. You should take sten out running with you next week, see if all that summer gym is paying off for him.
