I thank craiger for inspiring this run. I saw his blazing 6 mile run and decided instead of wasting an hour or so while the girls shop (wtf!?) why don't I get a run in.

I wanted fast tempo, well fast for me at least and I managed what I wanted to do. 3 miles under 10 min mile pace for the whole thing.

One sad thing is my HR monitor stopped logging after about 12 min because I think it got confused with my high HR. I was in the 190s and then it start in the 210s and then 0 for a long while (this is where the timer/average clicked off) and then 34. So I think my HR is not accurate at high HR and it also makes me question my 199 max HR, but what are you going to do right.

Glad I could pass my Kim Magee motivation on to her. I saw she ran a 59:02 ten mile and decided I should put in a speed day, although I didn't match her pace or distance. Also, how come I never got to go shopping or play mini golf while I was visiting you, where were you hiding all these stores and miniature windmills or castles or whatever you golf over/under/around?

Thanks for your comments on my training. I'm still trying to get used to this site, so sorry I'm so long in responding to you! YES, the difference in my legs and feet is like night and day with the new shoes--I waited WAY too long to replace my old ones, so now I'm trying to keep better track of how many miles I put on them.

What kind of HR monitor do you use? I'm in the market for one and I'm trying to decided whether I want a simple HR monitor or a Garmin.
