The time is not quite accurate - I forgot to stop my watch - but it is within 60 seconds I think.
Great day on the mountain this year. I sat back on the run as I promised myself. Took several minutes at each aid station, walked most every hill on the return 15 miles, chatted w/ friends and new friends, took time to look up and see the beautiful scenery (mountains galore). I even noticed that the wildflowers this year were the best of the three years doing SOB. No cramps, no crying, no laying down in the fetal position on the trail. Tired - yes. Ready to do it again next year - yes. 30 seconds slower than last year but oh so much more enjoyable.
Johnclimbsthehills did his first ultra today and was smokin' (not literally). His write-up will be well worth reading I'm sure but he better be very proud of himself. We're going to have some fun over the next years - I think he is officially a dyed-in-the-wool ultramarathoner. Congrats John.
Joe Moll, Juan Welch, and Doug Daniels ran fine races as well - none of us got stupid and just enjoyed the moment(s).
Kelly Woodke, my angel from last year's run did a great job. the course record was broken, however, by 20 minutes by an Olympic Trials steeple chaser - I knew they were athletic but this was proof positive.

Great run Lonn! You're a machine! Did you see the full results. First 3 men all broke the course record, and first woman also broke the course record. 1st place overall was 3:42 & change!!! That's Scot Jurek, Karl Melzer kind of running. Let's do Hagg Lk. in the Spring.
