Creswell Roads- Distance 17.00 miles
- Time 02:17:10
- Average Speed 7.44 mph
- Average Pace 8:04 min/mile
Got up really early and ran w/ the bright moon. Near the end of the run, the sun came up as a huge ball of red over the fresh cut rye fields. Temp. 55 - country smells were unbelievable. I got tired by the last two miles - more than I should have been. Hmmm...taking all that time off lately hasn't been as good for me as I'd hoped.

Sounds like a good morning. Sometimes a lack of sleep can work as a governor for speed. Maybe that's the case. Still, going easy makes sense to allow recovery for other specific training.
Yea, I'd like to use that as an excuse but even though I got up at 3:30, with the help of a later afternoon nap yesterday I still got 8 hours of sleep. Oddly enough, it was my right leg that got tired. We'll see how things really are when I hit the track tomorrow!
