Wasn't feeling so good when I dragged myself out of bed this morning. I can't work out if my body's trying to talk my brain out of running or not, since it faked throwing up for a bit. I ignored it and went running anyway. I don't know why I'm so tired. Could be the 'not sleeping' thing. Bit stressed at work.

So, great cure for stress. Running. Was supposed to do hill repeats today, so I chose to run the bottom loop of Central Park. There's a 100 metre stretch of unhill, which I thought I could possibly do repeats on, but in the back of my mind I'd kind of decided I was just going to run at an easy pace and get the 5-6 miles over with.

I started my run somewhere different today by cutting across the middle of the park, up behind the castle (I think it's Belvedere?) and through a bit of the ramble. There's some construction/lake repair malarkey going on, so I had to cut the ramble part a bit short. Probably just as well. The Ramble is as creepy as it is beautiful. But it was nice to throw in a smidge of 'trail' running (and I use the term lightly because it's a very well maintained trail).

Came to the 100 meter uphill and tested myself by picking up the pace and concentrating on form. Got to the top and decided I should just suck it up and do the repeats. Did 5 in the end (couldn't quite face the 6th), then did another 1.5 mile loop and threw in the 6th for good measure. Better late than never! :)
