Worst. Run. Ever.
Seriously. Went out for a tempo run. Barely slept at all last night. A little bit of stressing about the 'nowhere to live in two weeks' deal and...actually, I think that's the only thing. Did not want to run this morning at all. My legs were still tired from the hill repeats and the ride yesterday. But I have to keep at it. Decided instead of tempo run, I would just do an easy 5 miler.
But then I got out there, ran for about a mile, still felt like crap but figured I could trick myself into running 4 x 3 min tempos. Geez. Frickin' hard work. The fourth one I'd say was really only a 2 minute one (it was all uphill), so I ran easy for a while after that then threw in a 5th.
Also, I left my Nike+ sensor at work, so it wasn't even tracked. I jiggered the workout from Tuesday and changed the date to upload something at least. It was nearly identical in terms of time and distance, but the graph is wrong in terms of up/down effort.
Tomorrow off! Yay!

NO, the worst run ever was the one you didn't get to do. That being said, I wonder what it is about our emotions having such a huge effect (or is that affect?) on our physical performance. Stressing about something can take a good run into impossible - in a heartbeat. It makes me realize how those books on the "mental" of athletics have validity (although I've never actually read more than a paragraph or two out of them.) Sorry to hear that you have to move on such short notice. Finding a job and finding a place to live are two of the hardest things to do - much harder than running! At the same time, maybe this is, as you already suggested, an opportunity dressed up like a curse.
