So it seems that a diet of Guinness the night before a run is not the death knell to training but is in fact the fuel of champions. Thought that my run this morning would be exactly what I deserved - namely a slog through dehydration, headache and tumble-dryer stomach. Each foot in front of the other becoming more painful with the stupid brain saying stupid things "You had this coming. Hope you learnt something, dirtbag".

But it was fine. My brain was giggling that that kind of sneaky giggle you get when you know you've gotten away with something. That said, I won't be doing that again.

Ran another 'there and back' this morning. Was supposed to be doing 5 x 800m, but didn't think I would push the issue. So just did a regular type run.
