Recovery run - theoretical. I was really, really tired today. If I had not met up w/ Jon I would have just packed it in before the first mile. Warm but breezy today. Stomach and thermo-regulator still not functioning optimally.

Two, four mile tempo runs. Stiff southerly wind and cool misty rain. Ran with Jon -- he is speeding up considerably. It is going to be a good winter of training with everyone coming into health and fitness at the same time. Kept tempo miles around 6:52/

Still getting chills and low fever at night - be glad to have this virus or its remnants away from me.

Ran Hwy 101 w/ John Z. Glad he was there to keep me running steady and my mind off the miles. No speed in the legs today but felt pretty good all in all. Tried to push the last few miles but just didn't happen. Wonder how much the last couple days of virus effects the muscle fibers. I suppose it does but maybe the biggest effect is in my head.

Nice day to run - cool but no breeze and only a few drops of precip.

I'm looking forward to coming back over and get serious about Boston training.

Thanks John.

Recovery/easy run from the office to Valley River Center on the bike path by the roaring Willamette River. Nice day. Ran after work but it felt better than it normally does during afternoon runs. (Slept in this morning - ahhhh)

Wet run w/ Erik this morning on the bike path (north side of Willamette River). Felt much better today. First half took it easy then tried to hammer it home for 5.

Bark Trail then over to University area then back along bike path. Erik and I were surprised as to how much effort it took. It would be nice to have an "easy" faster run -- maybe some day soon. 50 degrees - very pleasant.

Ran with Shane and Brad this morning. There wasn't much high octane in me for some reason. I thought we'd get more fast miles in but it just wasn't there. Nonetheless, a nice run with a little mist at the beginning and then just a cool, gentle breeze.

Easy run w/ Erik - well, it should have been "easy". Actually, to get this tub of lard going took most of the run. Good to get out - nice weather - bark trail slightly frozen made it a great surface.
