running partner bailed out on me. overcast day; started in low 50s; ended in low 60s. perfect temperature for long run. sluggish in the first 3+ milies. legs finally waked up at mile 4. climbing, climbing, climbing... saw lots of wildlife, turkeys, birds, etc. haven't spotted a mountain lion yet, thanks running god! :0)
bang, bang... gun shots??? what the heck... ahhh, rifle range is close by. glad i didn't bump into dick cheney!
couldn't feel my legs at mile 10... 2+ more miles to go. what should i do? being *DEFEATED*... no way! as lance armstrong once said *pain is temporary, quitting lasts forever*! thrust forward, crossed finish line. :0)
what a run! i have never disappointed by this trail. 8 more wks to go before the race. can't wait to log the 20 miler...
