A fairly epic ride weather-wise for what is probably my last ride of the year. Temps plunged during the day aided by an arctic wind that gusted in my face at 25mph+ for most of the ride. Good thing I packed the face mask!

A difference of almost exactly 100 miles between this year and last!
Not a huge increase, but not bad considering that I didn't do the Trek Across Maine this year (and the extra training rides it motivates). Now that I am commuting year-round I'll have to be less lazy about getting out of bed early for those weekend rides if I want to get up to 4,000 miles next year.
yeah, it was pretty brutal down in Boston as well. 14F with a 22 - 30 mph all the way. you know it's cold when you start contemplating contacts because your glasses are leaching heat away from your nose and ears
