Did this with Jamie today. The distance is a few miles short because I forgot to turn on my cycling computer (have I mentioned I dislike my cycling computer? Crummy UI...) until we were on Bee Caves a ways.
I know in all my training logs I keep saying "the wind was worse today than ever!" but today really was worse than it's been these past few weeks. Much stronger winds and I wouldn't have ridden. I had to steel myself against gusts on Bee Caves and 620 that threatened to shove me precariously close to the vehicle lanes. Much of the time for the first half of the ride they were headwinds, too, during uphills! Ick. Still, we made surprisingly good time.
It was a really beautiful day and this ride is incredibly scenic, especially as it goes past the dam and over the 360 bridge. Jamie's company was really awesome. Sadly this route is not one I could do solo, due to traffic -- we got honked at a number of times as it was, and if I'd been alone it would not have felt safe.
