12th/oaktree/SH9/jenkinsThis was a pretty good run. I made it all the way around the corner of SH9 and Jenkins and a little bit more before I started walking. At that point I walked to DLB, jogged some more, all the way across Reaves park and finally quit jogging entirely at Stinson, and walked the rest of the way home. It was much colder and windier than expected at that point. I am pretty happy with this outing.

huff2nwcstarted on the mats inside the Huff, did my stretching battery, walked down to the SW corner outside the building and ran all the way to the corner of Highway 9 and Jenkins. Then I walked back to Jenkins and Congress and ran the rest of the way back to the Huff. Then did some hip sled and calf extensions, crunches and those things where you lie on your hands and raise your legs and bring them back down but don't let them touch the floor.
all in all a good day

12th/Alameda/Brooks/Classen loopHooray, I got off my ass and did something!
Talking with Casey and Alex last night was really inspiring and motivating -- I have some awesome friends!
This time, I jogged from the corner of Brooks and 12th to Alameda and Classen/Porter without stopping, though about two thirds of the way down Alameda I thought I was going to DIE! and the stoplight looked A LOT closer then it actually was, however, I managed to keep my motivation and drive up and ENDURED the lactic acid BURNING in my right side. Well worth it, I feel good, if fat, and my lungs are burning, but that's what I get for being a dumbass and smoking cigarettes and letting myself fall out of shape. Oh well, the walk back to Brooks was not as cold, definitely, and I found it in me to run up the hill on Brooks back to the apartment -- activity FTW!
Also I kicked off the evenings exercise with a few minutes of jump rope, that was pretty swell!
