So what cold weather gear did you pick up?

They're perfect in 40 degrees. I actually got kind of hot towards the end, but I think it's because I was riding pretty hard.
I bought wool socks, and just put sandwhich bags over the toes and stuff them in my trashed up jogging sneakers. I'm still in the market for gloves, but all they sell is stuff fit for arctic exploration. I guess I just need something to keep the wind off my fingers that doesn't get wet.
Neoprene gloves are good for that - I find them ideal for 40-50F rainy weather. Often you can find them with the canoe / kayak supplies
